Falcons Mascot Freddie Fights Children During Halftime Of A Pee Wee Football Game, Video Goes Viral On Twitter
During a halftime pee wee game, the mascot of Atlanta, Freddie Falcon, oddly attempted to fight a child when it squared up to him following a tackle. During the Falcons’ Sunday loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Atlanta area mascots engaged in an allegedly friendly game versus the Atlanta Colts pee wee football squad.
Youngsters surprisingly defeated the mascots.
Even though the youngsters ultimately handed the mascots a surprising defeat, none of them stopped giving it their all. The young athlete smacked the football to the ground before rising to his feet, apparently stunned and agitated. But as he got closer, the mascot appeared to square off with the player and insult him before pushing him.
The young player stumbled and then retaliated by hitting the mascot in the face with the ball. This led to a brawl between the two of them as they started pushing one another. Before the referee arrived to calm things down, the child’s teammates flocked to the field to defend him and surrounded the mascot.
Freddie Falcon appeared to enjoy his hit as he sprinted away with his arm, or rather wing, raised in victory when the referee separated the enraged players from the mascot.

Makes sense. It’s likely a HoF player who can barely catch a kid being a mascot now.

The video got viral in no time. Some of the users did not understand why children were competing against these mascots. It is safe to conclude, nonetheless, that everything was done for amusement.
It’s unclear if Freddie Falcon was hoping to get called up to play cornerback or if it was just a joke. The Falcons took a terrible hammering of their own, falling behind 28-17 at the half and losing 35-17 to Joe Burrow and company.
