2022 Denmark Open Badminton Women’s Singles First Round Draw, Fixtures, Players List
From India, Saina Nehwal will be the lone representative in women’s singles event at 2022 Denmark Open and might face a difficult second-round matchup against fifth-seed Ratchanok Intanon. Chinese shuttler Zhang Yiman is scheduled to be first-round opponent of Saina Nehwal. Akane Yamaguchi, the current world champion and top seed, is the clear favourite according to bookies because of her recent performance. One of the front-runners for the title is Chen Yufei, an Olympic gold medallist who is the third seed. Fans are dubious about the odds of the men’s singles category winning any medals due to the presence of all top-ranked players and Saina Nehwal’s challenging draw.
In other matches during first-round of women’s singles, second-seed Tai Tzu-ying will face Ongbamrungphan while former world champion Carolina Marin will begin her campaign with a match against Mia Blichfeldt. For this upcoming event, tickets can be bought from here.
