WWE wrestler and Tough Enough winner, Sara Lee Weston was announced dead aged just 30, the cause of death and reason hasn’t been disclosed, but the former wrestler apparently complained of a Sinus infection days before her death.

The announcement came as a shock on Thursday, October 6. The former athlete seemed to be in perfect health during the time of her death.

Sara is popularly known for competing in the reality TV series Tough Enough and eventually winning it.

Along with the bragging rights, the professional wrestler  also received a $250,000 deal with WWE.

Sara Lee’s Cause Of Death

Sara’s mom, Terri Lee, shared the sad news on Thursday afternoon shared on Facebook.

It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus.

We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn.

As of now, Sara’s family haven’t disclosed her cause of death to the public. Sarah had however, apparently complained of a sinus infection two days before her death.

Just recently, Sara shared a photo on Instagram with the caption: “healthy enough to go to the gym two days in a row”

Following the news of Sara’s death, social media platforms blew up with condolence messages from fans and fellow wrestlers alike.

Sara Lee Husband And Children

Following her death, Sara Lee leaves behind her husband, fellow WWE star Wesley Blake real name Cory James Weston, and their three kids — Piper, Brady, and a one-year-old son whose name is unknown.

Sara and her husband Wesley first come across each another during a training session at the WWE Performance center.

Wesley stated in an interview how he recalled his first encounter with the ex-NXT wrestler. He explained:

When Tough Enough was coming out I used to go to a friend’s apartment and we used to watch it. I will never forget when they announced the 11 Tough Enough people

When Sarah came across the screen, I said to the guys, ‘I don’t know what it is, but I think she is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on.

The couple got married in 2017 and this December would have marked the couple’s five-year anniversary.

Bull James Does His Part

Following the tragic incident, WWE star Bull James set up a GoFundMe page to pay for Sara’s funeral and help her family “pick up the pieces” during the difficult time.

The GoFundMe page read:

We’re all shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Tough Enough winner Sara Lee.

The wrestling community has always been one to come together in the wake of tragedy and this is no different. Every penny raised from this will go directly to Cory and the kids.

Bull concluded the message with a thank you to donors and described Sara as “one of the good ones.”
