In the final of Women’s World Team Table Tennis Championships 2022, China dominated Japan from the very start and as a result, whitewashed their opponent to win by score of 3-0. With this victory, China have won the title for fifth consecutive edition and for 22nd time in their history.

2022 Women’s World Team Table Tennis Championships China vs Japan Final Result, Best Performers, Score, & Medal Winners

At the final of 2022 ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals, China defeated Japan 3-0 to win the Corbillon Cup and claim the title of Women’s Teams World Champions. Team China, the event’s top seed, boasted a squad in the final that included the Top 3 players in the world and they showed their status in front of a throng of ecstatic fans inside Chengdu High-Tech Sports Center with a dominant performance. As a result of this, victory China claimed their fifth straight title and 22nd overall title.

Chen Meng won the opening match of tie over Miyuu Kihara with scores of 3-0 (11-6, 11-8, 11-8). During second match between Mima Ito and Wang Manyu, Wang stepped up her game mid-game to secure resounding victory with score of 3-1 (11-9, 9-11,12-10, 11-5). With China poised to win, Sun Yingsha moved up to seal the deal against Miyu Ngasaki, and she did just that with a 3-0 (11-7, 11-7, 11-8) victory. Throughout the tournament, China women’s team played 21 matches across seven ties and still maintained 100% win record by winning every match. Meanwhile, runner-up Japan won 18 out of their 21 matches during seven ties but lost three matches in final tie against China to miss out on the title.
