However, the convict didn’t get to spend much time in jail, as he was soon killed by his fellow inmate, Christopher Scarver.
He shortly after killing Dahmer, had murdered another one of his fellow inmate, Jesse Anderson. After watching the series, many are wondering who was Jesse, here’s all the details about Jesse Anderson.
Jesse was an Illinois-native, who was convicted for killing his own wife. Anderson was born in 1957 and was graduated high school in 1975.
In 1984, he completed his graduation in Business Administration from Elmhurst College. Jesse had previously married to Debra Ann Eickert, however he divorced her in 1984.
In 1985, he went on and married to Barbara E. Lynch in Chicago. Barbara was the woman he was convicted of killing later.
On April 21, 1992, the duo went for a movie and dinner in Milwaukee after which Anderson stabbed his wife in her face and head 5 times.
Then he went on to stabbed himself 4 times in the chest. However he survived the incident but his wife went into a coma and she died 2 days later.
During the investigation, Jesse blamed the attack on 2 black men, presenting a basketball camp he claimed to have knocked off one of the attackers.
However, later when the Cops did some digging it was found out that the cap was purchased by Anderson from a university student days before the murder.
Investigators also found out that a red-handled fishing knife by which Barbara was stabbed with was also bought by Jesse a few weeks earlier.
Jesse Anderson was charged with murder n April 29, 1992 and was sentenced to life prison in August with parole ineligiblity for 60 years.
Later, it was reportedly found out that Anderson had committed the crime to get the benefits of his wife’s life insurance policy.
Christopher Scarver, who also killed Jeffrey Dahmer, attacked Jesse. As Anderson was also serving his sentence in the Columbia Correctional Institute, in Portage, Wisconsin.
On Move 28, 1992, the trio, Jeffrey Dahmer, Jesse Anderson and Christopher Scarver went on bathroom cleaning duty in the prison’s gymnasium without any supervisor.
Christopher took the advantage of the situation and beat both Anderson and Dahmer to death with a 20-inch iron bat before returning back to his cell.
Dahmer was rushed to a hospital, however he died on the way, while Anderson died 2 days later after being put on a life support.
Later in a 2015 interview, Scarver revealed his motive behind attacking and killing Anderson. He said that he was enraged by Jesse putting the blame of the attack on his wife on 2 black men.
Christopher found Jesse’s move were racist. He also accused Anderson of vandalizing a painting of Martin Luther King Jr.
As for why he killed Dahmer, he revealed in another interview that he was repulsed by the crimes of his jailmates. For killing his fellow inmates, Scarver was given another life sentence.
