Vacant Posts for which the Election is contested
1. President (Sourav Ganguly*)
The most powerful post of the Association is in the hands of Sourav Ganguly since 2019. It will be interesting to see whether Ganguly will be able to retain his position again in AGM 2022. The biggest threat to Ganguly’s presidential throne is none other than the BCCI secretary Jay Shah. Although the 2 share a great bond together and love to work along with each other.
2. Vice President (Rajeev Shukla*)
Another important post that is on the line is the BCCI Vice President post. Currently, the post is held by Rajeev Shukla. He also served as the Chairman of IPL till 2013.
3. Seceratory (Jay Shah*)
The 34-year-old Jay Shah is expected to get an upgradation in his position. If Jay Shah gets a promotion it’s obvious that someone will have to take on his position of BCCI Secretary.
4. Joint Secretary (Jeyesh George*)
The BCCI joint Secretary post is also up for grabs.
5. Treasurer (Arun Dhumal*)
One of the most crucial roles in the BCCI association often gets unnoticed. The current Treasurer of BCCI is Arun Dhumal. He takes care of the financial departments of BCCI.
