Legendary actress Louise Fletcher left us for heavenly abode, know her net worth as she dies
The Oscar-winning actress passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the age of 88.
Louise was best known for her performance in 1975’s movie named ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,’ for which she even scored the Oscar. In the film, she played the role of sadistic nurse Ratched.

Her character in the One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest movie gave Hollywood one of the greatest villains of all time.
The tragic news of the actress’ demise was confirmed by her family members through her agent David Shaul. As per the statement given by the agent, Louise was surrounded by her family members in her last time at her home in Montdurausse, France.
As of now the cause of the actress’s death hasn’t been revealed by her family. Though in a statement, her agent David told the media outlets that the actress passed away while she was sleeping.
As per reports, the actress built her home from a 300-year-old farmhouse. In a past interview, she was seen talking about her beloved home as she said, “I can’t believe I created something so meaningful to my well-being.”
Louise was born in Birmingham, Alabama, United States on July 22, 1934. Both of Louise’s parents were deaf. When the actress received her Academy Award, she used sign language to make sure her parents could understand what she was saying.
It was one of the most beautiful moments of Academy Award History. In her career, Louise was seen in many popular television projects such as Lawman, Bat Masterson, Maverick, The Untouchables, and 77 Sunset Strip.
Apart from the tv shows, she even appeared in several films including Thieves Like Us, The Lady in Red, The Lucky Star, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, A Perfect Man and many more.
In 1960 Louise got married to a literary agent and producer Jerry Bick. Though their marriage didn’t last long as the duo got divorce in 1977.
Louise is survived by her 2 sons, John Dashiell Bick and Andrew Wilson Bick, her grand-daughter Emilee Kaya Bick, her sister Roberta Ray and brother-in-law Edward Ray. Her net worth stood at $1 million.
After learning the news of Louise’ passing, her fellow stars, friends and fans took to social media to pay their tributes.
The Switched at Birth fame star Marlee Matlin, took to Twitter and penned down, “Sad to read of the passing of Louise Fletcher.
“Brilliant actress & Academy Award winner, I remember her as the daughter of Deaf parents (CODA) who was the FIRST to sign her acceptance speech at the Oscars. And she was so lovely as my mother on “Picket Fences.” RIP dear Louise.”
