Overwatch 2 (OW2) is set for release in just a few weeks, and fans cannot wait to see all the new characters and heroes and learn how to unlock them
Blizzard’s long-awaited sequel to the multiplayer shooter will be free-to-play for everyone this October. The new instalment and it will bring an end to the original OW1 experience.

While OW2 will bring in some new characters and heroes, many of the original heroes will be returning for Blizzard’s second instalment. Several new faces will join the list of Fan-favourites such as Widow, D.Va, Mei, Mercy, and Sombra.
All Overwatch 2 New Characters
Given below is a list of all the new Overwatch 2 characters and heroes revealed so far:
- Sojourn
- Junker Queen
- Kiriko
Sojourn was announced first, and she was also part of the first OW2 beta. Her Damage abilities include a power slide and disruptor shot, as well as rapid firing projectiles that generate and consume energy.
Junker Queen was announced second with a fantastic animated short, meanwhile Kiriko is the newest reveal. Junker Queen is a fairly buff Tank, meanwhile Kiriko is a ‘fox girl’ Support.

How To Unlock OW2 Characters
Players can unlock the new OW2 characters and heroes through Battle Pass progression.
PC Gamers will need to reach tier 55 of the free Battle Pass track to unlock playable protagonists. Or they can also buy a premium pass for $10.
Players who own OW1 will receive a Founder’s Pack, which includes Kiriko. Those who don’t own OW1 can buy a Watchpoint Pack to get the ‘fox girl’ as well as the following:
- Season 1 Premium Battle Pass
- 7 Legendary skins (including 2 all-new Space Raider skins)
- 5 Epic skins
- 2,000 Overwatch Coins
