White was quick to affirm that we would be treated to Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 4 after McGregor ended up getting injured in the trilogy encounter

Although Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 was touted to be the decider of the series between the two, we’ll now be getting a fourth part of the showdown.

With the series tantalisingly poised at 1-1 ahead of the UFC 264 matchup, the trilogy fight was set to decide for once and all who was the better between the two. And while Dustin Poirier ended up taking the tie, Dana White has gone onto say that a fourth battle would be held.

It was down to the manner in which Dustin was crowned the winner. With Conor going down injured after landing awkwardly on his leg, the Irishman was left with no choice but to withdraw from the fight.

It subsequently lead to Dustin being declared the winner of the fight. While few have taken objection to the result with Dustin dominating Conor in every facet of the fight in round one, Dana White believes the series needs to be brought to a rightful end.

Speaking ensuing the fight, Dana White was quick to assert that a fourth part would be held. The UFC head honcho said we needed a proper ending to the rivalry between the two with today’s fight not the correct way to wrap things up.

White also went onto add that Conor would be requiring surgery for his leg injury. The Notorious had gone onto completely twist his leg in the midst of receiving a rattling from Dustin in round one.

As things stand, Dustin leads the series between the two with a 2-1 lead. The Diamond was rejoiced as his hand was lifted in the air with him going onto perform McGregor’s billionaire strut in the Irishman’s face as he was declared the winner of the fight.

For Conor meanwhile, the defeat added another torrid moment in a career which is fast regressing. Conor has been on a downtick for quite some time now with his antics failing to justify his performances in the arena.
