Kalyan Chaubey was born on 16th December in 1976 and presently his age is 45 years as of 2022. Kalyan is an Indian politician from Bhartiya Janta Party and also a former professional player who played as a Goalkeeper.

Kalyan Chaubey graduated from Tata Football Academy in year 1995 and became a professional footballer through a proper grass-root system. He played as a goalkeeper and achieved the award – “Indian Goalkeeper of the Year” – in the year 1997 to 1998 and 2001– 2002. Kalyan was a member of the Indian team at the Under-17 Asian Youth Championship held in year 1994 in Iran.
He was also a part of the U-20 Asian Youth Championship 1996 held in South Korea, year 1996, and the senior Indian national team from 1999 to 2006. Kalyan was part of the Indian team that was a winner at SAFF Championship thrice. He played the National Championship, and Santosh Trophy for five different states including Jharkhand, West Bengal, Goa, Punjab, and Maharashtra.
He played for Mohun Bagan AC, East Bengal FC, Salgaocar SC, Mahindra United, JCT Phagwara, and Mumbai FC as a goalkeeper. He also played for the Bengal Mumbai from 1999 to 2001. In year 2002, Kalyan trialed for German club 2. He was the coordinator for the GOALZ Project- of 2012, which was developed by the police of Kolkata and the British Council for underprivileged kids.
In the year 2015, he turned to politics and joined Bhartiya Janta Party, and unsuccessfully competed in the Lok Sabha elections of state West Bengal in year 2019. His younger sister Bulbuli Panja acts in Bengali Television Serials, Kalyan Chaubey was married in the year 2004.
Chaubey is married to ex-Mohun Bagan general secretary Anjan Mitra’s daughter Sohini.
