I love WoW and am incredibly passionate about creating content for it but as a casual player Shadowlands has absolutely killed my motivation to play the game.
Super excited for WotLK and DF, going to take a much needed break from retail until then.

PRE-PATCH RELEASE DATE FOR WOW: WOTLK & CLASSIC MAINTENANCE TIME
The WoW WOTLK Pre-Patch release time and date have been scheduled for Tuesday, August 30, according to Blizzard, with maintenance on North American servers planned to start at 7 am PDT.
Providing a window for when the Pre-Patch will launch, this outage is anticipated to finish at 8 am PDT on Classic servers & 3 pm PDT on Burning Crusade Classic realms.
It should be noted that while World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic Pre-Patch updates will hit NA servers on August 30, they won’t hit EU servers till after 3 am CEST on August 31.
The Scourge plague is one of the first things World of Warcraft players will experience after creating their new Death Knight and earning their first awards, according to Blizzard’s confirmation this week:
“Starting the week of September 6, astute observers will notice shipments of Conspicuous Crates arriving at less than reputable ports like Booty Bay. These highly contagious containers will infect anyone who touches them with a deadly variant of the Scourge plague. If you need assistance to avoid a grisly death, look for a nearby Argent Healer to cleanse yourself. Player characters capable of dispelling diseases can also help you recover… for now.”

While players will have to wait a week before facing off against the undead hordes, the good news is that as soon as the Pre-Patch goes live, they will be able to view and start collecting Achievements that pertain to WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic. Additionally, all extra Achievements will be made accessible on September 26 with the release of Wrath of the Lich King Classic.
