BetVictor European Masters 2022 Qualifying Results, Main Tournament Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
2022 Northern Ireland Open’s qualification period runs from August 23 to August 28 at Wigan, England’s Robin Park Leisure Centre. However, the wildcard match involving local players and matches involving the top 16 competitors, including the defending champion, will be postponed and played at the Waterfront Hall. The format for qualifying matches is best-of-seven frames.
David Gilbert defeated Scottish amateur Ross Muir 4-3 on Friday to earn a spot in the Northern Ireland Open. The 2019 World Championship semifinalist fell behind 2-0 before moving ahead 3-2 at the Robin Park Leisure Centre in Wigan with breaks of 104 and 89. Gilbert’s final century secured his passage to Belfast for the final 64 stage in October, which will be shown live on Eurosport.
Leclercq, a 19-year-old from Belgium, demonstrated his potential by winning the WPBSA Q Tour play-off in May and receiving a two-year tour card. He can now anticipate making his debut in the knockout finals of a ranking tournament in Belfast in October. Leclercq won the final three frames of the qualifying with a top run of 85 after Carrington scored a break of 136 in the second frame to tie the score at 1-1.
On Sunday, Martin Gould and Thepchaiya Un-Nooh will be among the competitors for the final qualifying day and will play against Michael Judge and Chris Wakelin respectively. The tournament tickets can be purchased by fans from here.
