Mashal Sports, the organisers of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi League PKL 2022 have announced the starting date for Season 9
As per the announcement, the league will commence on October 7, 2022 and will follow through until mid-December.

The announcement also stated that the Pro Kabaddi league will be played out in three venues—Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad.
PKL Season 9 2022 Start Date
In an official statement, Mashal Sports announced the start date of PKL season 9 2022. Speaking further on the announcement, Anupam Goswami, Head – Sports Leagues, Mashal Sports and League Commissioner, Vivo Pro Kabaddi League, said,
“Mashal Sports started the journey of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League with a vision of taking the indigenous sport of Kabaddi to the world of contemporary and upcoming generations of sports fans.”
He further added, “We continue to achieve impressive success in this goal, as was proven earlier this year by vivo PKL Season 8, which was conducted in a comprehensive bio-bubble. Now, we are even more enthusiastic about the upcoming vivo PKL Season 9 as our fans will be back in stadiums across Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad to experience the pulsating action up-close of their favourite teams and stars.”
Following the announcement, fans can now start gearing up for the much-awaited Season 9 of the PKL. Earlier this month, the PKL 2022 players’ auctions drew a lot of attention from the media and fans, and that same enthusiasm is expected for the upcoming league. The auctions have already taken place to give shape to all the teams.
The fact that the league will be played out across three major Indian cities is also an added boost to the interest of the viewership.
