Edge beat Damian Priest, his Judgment Day opponent, in the Monday Night RAW main show with him revealing his retirement in 2023 but the date is still not known
Edge faced Damian Priest, his Judgment Day opponent, in the Monday Night RAW main event. Since his family and friends were there in his native Toronto, Canada, this was among Edge’s first RAW bouts in a very long time. But after the bout, Edge addressed the crowd with a heartfelt statement and said he would be retiring. When the Rated R Superstar approached the ring to boo Damian Priest, the Scotiabank Stadium gave him a big round of applause.

Edge also didn’t leave any stone unturned because the audience was solidly supporting him and he was dressed in red and white as a homage to the Canadian flag. Early on in the game, Edge overpowered and bullied Priest, infuriating him. Edge was ultimately caught up by him, who then threw him outdoors. The Razor’s Edge was then hauled out by the priest through the announcement table, leaving Edge’s body lying in the table’s wreckage.
For a few minutes, the Superstar dominated the local hero before umpire Charles Robinson was unintentionally thrown from the ring. The priest yanked out a seat to punish Edge in the absence of a referee. However, the Rated-R Superstar bounced back and hit Priest with the chair. Then hit him with the traditional Canadian Destroyer before finishing the fight with a spear. Edge intends to leave the WWE in the summer.
Edge said as the bell sounded that he will return to Canada to hang up his boots and quit after a year. “So next August, I intend on seeing every single one of you. And in an ideal world, we’ll all bid each other farewell that night,” he remarked. “Hey, guy, it’s all right. This is where I should do it. I truly do adore each and every one of you. I’ll say it again: I adore being Canadian.”
