The 2022 Commonwealth Games’ cycling competition will take place between July 29 and August 7 at four different locations. Indian cyclists crashed out much before the medal rounds in the men’s keirin, women’s sprint, women’s 3000m individual pursuit, and men’s 4000m individual pursuit at CWG 2022 on Saturday.

2022 Commonwealth Games Cycling Day 2 Results, Sunday Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue

At the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, the men’s keirin event saw Indian cyclists David Beckham and Esow Alben eliminated in the opening round on Saturday. At the Lee Valley Velopark, Esow Alben placed sixth in heat 4 and David Beckham finished fourth in heat 2 of the opening round. Esow Alben and David Beckham both finished second in the repechages of their respective heats 3 and 4. Although they were only a fraction of a second slower than the winner of their respective heats, neither cyclist advanced to the next stage.

Mayuri Lute and Triyasha Paul of India were eliminated from the women’s sprint qualifying earlier in the day after placing 20th and 23rd, respectively. Only the top 16 riders in each category advanced to Birmingham 2022’s round of 16. Meenakshi, on the other hand, was eliminated from the women’s 3000m solo pursuit after placing 15th and falling 29 seconds short of the winner, Bryony Botha of New Zealand, who set a CWG record with a time of 3:19.836s. In the men’s 4000m individual pursuit, Aaron Gate of New Zealand won qualifying with a time of 4:07.129s, while Vishvajeet Singh and Dinesh Kumar placed 18th and 19th.

On Sunday, L Ronaldo Singh, E David Beckham and Esow Alben will compete in the menโ€™s sprint qualifying while other Indians will also be in action in cycling at CWG 2022.
