In this, numerous K-pop stars make an appearance and compete with one another in a variety of athletic events. The event resumed this year after being briefly postponed the previous two years owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program has been fairly popular over the years since viewers can watch their favourite idols connect with other idols from other groups in addition to watching them play sports and have fun.
However, despite its popularity, ISAC has faced a number of critiques as a result of various scandals over the years. It has caused a significant dispute and this year is not immune to it. ISAC is under fire for breaching human rights by preventing lunches and mid-filming exits.
Due to the fact that it involves some of the most well-known figures in the South Korean entertainment industry, this story has generated much discussion worldwide since it went viral on social media platforms. So, let’s find out what actually happened:
Why Is ISAC Being Slammed?
ISAC is under criticism for publishing a notice outlining the guidelines that spectators must abide by while the shooting is taking place.
One of the rules specifically mentions that owing to quarantine requirements, fans are not permitted to consume meals throughout the whole filming. Additionally, they are not permitted to leave the stadium during the filming. According to the announcement, the stadium will open to visitors at 5:30 am, and ISAC filming will stop at 9 pm.
After posting the rules notice, the show’s producers faced criticism since viewers thought that being forced to go without food for more than 15 hours was in violation of their human rights.
Did They Change The Rules?
It was stated that the ISAC modified its position from forbidding anyone from leaving midway to allowing individuals to enter midway once the dispute occurred.
In the issue of forbidding any food or meals, ISAC revised the rules to state that visitors would be permitted to leave the stadium for a quick lunch and then return.
