The groups were confirmed For FIBA Asia Cup 2022 at the draw which was held on February 18 last year in Jakarta. A total of 16 teams had qualified for the FIBA Asia Cup 2022.
This is the first time that teams have qualified for the Asia Cup through the qualifiers.
