Anjum placed third with a final round score of 402.9, after German Anna Janssen (407.7) and Italian Barbara Gambaro (403.4), who won the gold and silver medals, respectively.

Who Is Anjum Moudgil?

Anjum Moudgil is a professional Indian shooter who is recently been in news for winning bronze at ISSF Shooting World Cup 2022.

She was born on January 5th, 1994 in Chandigarh, India. Her height is 165 cm (5 ft 5 in) and her weight is 69 kg (152 lb). Presently, she is 28 years old. She is supported by the GoSports Foundation.

While attending Chandigarh’s Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Anjum Moudgil began shooting. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in humanities from DAV College in Chandigarh. She finished her master’s degree in sports psychology.

She enjoys creating abstract art and has sold several of her pieces. She progressed to Sub Inspector (SI) status with the Punjab Police in India.

Her Career

Anjum Moudgil started shooting right out of college and took part in a number of regional competitions. At the 2016 World Cup in Munich, she finished in ninth place and won the silver medal. In the South Asian Games, she won gold.

In the 10m Air Rifle Sardar Sajjan Singh Sethi Memorial Masters, she took home the silver medal. At the ISSF World Cup in Mexico, she took home a silver medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3 Positions (3P) competition.

Anjum Moudgil won the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games (CWG) with a score of 455.7 points, including 151.9 in the kneeling position and 157.1 in the prone position. Anjum won the second-place position in the women’s 10m Air Rifle ISSF rankings on May 1, 2019.

She was India’s top woman in the 50m 3P events. In the women’s 10m air rifle competition at the ISSF World Championship in Changwon, Anjum Moudgil took home a silver medal.
