Sikander Raza put third back-to-back Man of the match performance
The Sialkot-born Zimbabwean cricketer has been in sublime form throughout 2022. He played a major role in qualifying ZImbabwe for the Super 12 stage. His 1 over against Pakistan shifted the game toward Zimbabwe’s way in just a few moments.
Raza removed well-set Shadad Khan who tried to hit him for back to back 2 sixes. Then on the very next, he decided the new batsman Haider Ali for a golden duck.
In the last, over his spell, he took the priced wicket of Shaan Masood who was batting on 44. The all-rounder did fail with the bat this time but compensate for it with an iconic spell of 3-25.
Babar and Rizwan failed at the top once again
The Pakistani batting lineup’s over-reliance on Babar-Rizwan was exposed once again. Neat and tidy bowling by the Zimbabwe pacer trapped the duo at a very minimal score of 4 and 14.
Zimbabwe pacer’s brave bowling
The Zimbabwe pacers exploited the condition extremely well. They came in and bowled the hard length which proved to be difficult to hit on this surface. Brad Evans, Muzarabani, and Ngarava bowled their heart out and made it absolutely difficult for the Pakistani batsman to shift gears.
Ngarava’s economical bowling at death was very useful. Brad Evans bowled the last over of the game and picked the wicket of dangerous Mohammad Nawaz in the second last ball of the match. Muzrabani got the big fish Mohammad Rizwan at a cheap score of 14 runs.
Zimbabwe’s victory has almost knocked Pakistan out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022
Pakistan’s chances of the last 4 are looking very vague from now on. They have lost 2 back to back games against India and Zimbabwe. In the next 3 games, Pak has no choice but to win those games by a huge margin.
The game between South Africa-Pakistan will be one to watch on Thursday.
