The highly-anticipated inaugural edition of the Zim Afro T10 League 2023 is all set to take place very soon, but ahead of the tournament, the players draft will be held, check out all the details of the draft below along with the schedule and teams
The Zim Afro T10 League will take place starting from July 20, and will go on until the grand final, which is set for 29 July.

Zimbabwe Cricket in association with T Ten Global Sports are the organizers behind Zim Afro T10 League and the competition will take place in Harare.
Zim Afro T10 League draft date
The official players draft date for the Zim Afro T10, will be on Sunday (July 2).
Participating teams
Given below are the five franchises set to compete in the inaugural edition of the Zim Afro T10 League:
- Harare Hurricanes
- Joburg Buffaloes
- Durban Qalandars
- Bulawayo Braves
- Cape Town Samp Army
Zim Afro T10 squad composition
Each of the five franchises need to have a minimum of 16 players in their squads. Each squad has to consist of at least 6 Zimbabwean players. Out of those 6 players, teams need to select one Zimbabwean player from the list of emerging player category under the nationwide talent hunt. Ahead of the draft, the franchises are allowed to have a maximum of 4 top internationals as their pre-signed players. Teams have to select these four players and announce them ahead of the start of the players draft.

While speaking on the upcoming tournament, Zimbabwe Cricket’s Managing Director Mr. Givemore Makoni said:
We are in the final stages ahead of the Zim Afro T10’s inaugural edition. This gives me immense joy, because to see this play out in reality has been a dream for all of the Zimbabwean cricket family, and it is a watershed moment in the history of the sport in the country. The fans, I am sure, are keenly waiting for the opening day.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, who is the T Ten Global Sports Founder and Chairman, said:
To bring the T10 to Zimbabwe has been high on the agenda for us in the recent past, and that we are on the home stretch ahead of the inaugural edition of the tournament, is a source of great satisfaction for me.”
