Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez vs Yunieski Gonzalez will take place in what is going to be one action-packed bout to grab the WBA light heavyweight title, know its purse and payout

The much-anticipated fight between Gilberto Ramirez and Yunieski Gonzalez is just around the corner when the two face each other at the AT and T Center in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, 18th December, 2021.

The Mexican has displayed some impressive performances lately and he will look to do the same against Gonzalez to clench the WBA light-heavyweight title from Dmitry Bivol. Ramirez is eyeing at scoring his fourth consecutive knockout but Gonzalez is not going to let him do that without an equal fight for sure.

But how much will the two earn through this bout? Let’s find out right here:

Yunieski Gonzalez: Gonzalez has less experience as compared to Ramirez since he has won only 18 out of the total 21 fights he has fought till now. Why he might not be the favorite for his bout against the Mexican is also because he had lost his last fight against Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

But maybe the Cuban boxer will use his last loss as a motivating factor to emerge victorious against Ramirez this weekend. And since he has been preparing rigorously for the brawl, Gonzalez might be the one who surprises everyone with his talent and performance.

Gonzalez will earn a guaranteed purse of $100k for his duel. This purse is full and final. As for the Cuban’s total payout, it will be that of $300k. This total payout amount will be finalized provided that the pay-per-view sales touch the required mark.

Gilberto Ramirez: The Mexican is obviously the favourite to win since he has been undefeated in all of his 42 fights which include 28 knockouts. Ramirez looks confident and is vying to knock Gonzalez out no matter what. Hopefully the WBA light heavyweight title will have found a new champion after Dmitry Bivol who has held the title for four years now i.e. since 2017.

Ramirez is getting paid a guaranteed purse of $500k with the total payout amounting to a whopping $2.5 million (based on PPV sales)
