Dingo Dinkelman passed away from the consequences on Saturday after spending time in the intensive care unit and in an induced coma. Social media has been used by the public, his friends, and other creators to pay tribute to and send their sympathies to the family.
As shared in a Facebook post by his wife, Kirsty, a snake bit Dinkelman and “unfortunately, due to his allergy to snake venom,” it sent him into anaphylactic shock.
Although his family seemed fairly optimistic despite noting that he was “in an induced coma” and was being “heavily sedated to give his body as much of a fighting chance to fully recover”, he failed to survive.
The Upper Highway resident, who had a massive following on social media, was bitten by a Green Mamba four weeks ago. The South African reptile YouTube is survived by his wife Kirsty Dickelman and their three children, eldest daughter TJ (14), Maddy (12) and Josh (9).
The Dingo Kids had earlier launched their own Dingo Kids YouTube Channel with new episodes released every Tuesday and are home schooled. They live on their farm in the Hillcrest area of KwaZulu-Natal.
His wife, Kirsty, posted and said: “His presence has brought so much warmth, love, passion and laughter to our lives, as well as to all of those who knew him, loved him and supported him.
“We love you, Dingo, and we will always celebrate your incredible impact on each of our lives.”
Dingo Dinkelman’s love of reptiles made him famous on the internet. His channel featured scaly animals, such as frogs, lizards, and snakes that are extremely poisonous. After publishing regularly since March 2020, the well-known YouTuber accumulated over 107,000 subscribers on the video-sharing website.
At the end of September 2024, YouTuber Dingo Dinkelman made headlines when it was disclosed to his fans that he had been bitten by one of the poisonous snakes he frequently features on his show.

Dingo Dinkelman’s death
Given that Dingo was “in an induced coma” and was being “heavily sedated to give his body as much of a fighting as possible,” the content creator’s family appeared to be optimistic despite the unclear future at the time.
Now, over three weeks after Dingo Dinkelman was initially brought to the intensive care unit, his family released a heartbreaking update on the YouTuber who loves reptiles.
Kirst Dinkelman wrote a statement and shared it on a Facebook fan page dedicated to Dingo and his work, informing friends that her husband had passed away on Saturday, October 26 from his wounds.
