On January 11, 2021, Twitch saw a historic moment when David “TheGrefg” Cánovas Martínez, a Spanish streaming sensation, broke the record for the most concurrent viewers by revealing his very own Fortnite skin during a live stream
On January 29, 2023, he broke over into the top 3 on Twitch again, with his streamer awards topping over 1.7 million views.

On June 25, 2022, Ibai, a different Spanish streamer, broke that record by drawing in over three million live viewers for his second boxing match. Casimiro broke the record on YouTube with more than 6 million views. In 2023, Ibai surpassed his own record when he brought back his event, hitting over 3.4 million concurrent viewers with La Velada del Año 3. French streamer Squeezi is ranked third on Twitch with 1.3 million views for his racing event.
The majority of broadcasters on this list are still from North America, although the number of non-English streams on Twitch and YouTube is rising quickly. More international streamers should be expected to compete to rank among the most popular streams ever.
