Nick Wright has responded to Kyrie Irving after he was called a puppet ensuing his claims of Irving wanting to retire
With the new season of NBA still a few weeks away, rumours have been string up left, right and centre. With a slew of worldclass names contemplating their future, reports have been flying in the air with Kyrie Irving managing to find his name dragged in the midst of them as well.
It all began with radio host and TV presenter, Nick Wright going onto claim that Irving was set to retire if Brooklyn Nets decided to trade him. Wright claimed that Irving’s representatives had directly informed him of this as he went onto say, “There are a handful of Kyrie trades that potentially make sense for the Nets. Kyrie’s agents have made it known that Kyrie would simply ‘retire from the NBA’ if Brooklyn were to trade him.”
Kyrie Irving And Nick Wright Bicker On Twitter Over Trade Rumours
However, the comments ended up leaving Irving seething with him deciding to retort back. Not one to take things lying down, Irving clapped back, calling Wright a puppet on Twitter.
Wright has meanwhile decided to stick by his claims with him not only once again talking about how Irving was bound to retire if traded but also telling Irving that he needed to take things up with his representatives and not Wright for circulating fabricated stories.

Kyrie, if you’re saying you didn’t say you’d retire if you were traded, then your beef is with your representation, not with me, because you and I both know that’s what they’ve told people.

This isn’t the first time though that Wright has made public claims about Irving though. Only a couple of weeks back, Wright had gone onto say that the Nets should go onto trade Irving to Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Ben Simmons before the new season.
