Swedish rock band Ghost BC released Year Zero almost ten years ago, but the video has resurfaced as a TikTok trend, and things are blowing up more after fans discovered an uncensored NSFW version of the video.
Ghost BC’s original version of Year Zero was heavily censored when released in 2013.

Ever since the rediscovery of the Year Zero video, TikTok users have been heavily using the track for TikTok videos but for completely different reasons.
Differences Between The Uncensored And Censored Year Zero Videos
In general, the two videos are practically the same. The uncensored video does not provide any uncut versions or extra minutes.
The only real difference is the absence of the black bars used in the original censored video to cover nudity. In the uncensored video, everything is visible when the women that take their tops off in the video.
Fans discovered the uncensored version on Vimeo and now the video has hit almost 500k views. Though the video was uploaded nine years ago, the link was never shared on Reddit until much later.
Despite the popularity, the Vimeo numbers are still a fraction as compare with the censored Year Zero video on YouTube. The censored version has a huge 18 million views.
The Year Zero song came from the band’s second album, Infestissum. Loudwire previously proclaimed Year Zero as the album’s “stand-out track.”
Who Are Ghost BC?
Ghost BC, or simply Ghost, are a rock band from Sweden. The band formed in 2008 and they have since released five studio albums revolving around satanic themes.
The band are popularly known to have and stage presence. Ghost consists of eight members who prefer to keep their identities a secret.
The lead singer Tobias Forge obscures his face while playing numerous characters in his videos. In the Year Zero video, he plays Papa Emeritus II – just one of six characters Forge has portrayed in Ghost.
The other seven members call themselves the “Nameless Ghouls” and keep their faces hidden beneath large black masks.
So far, Ghost have won numerous Grammatis awards and a Grammy in 2016 for Best Metal Performance. Recently, the band supported rock legends Iron Maiden on their US tour.
Unexpected TikTok Fame
Over the past couple of months, a whole new group of people have rediscovered Year Zero thanks to TikTok.
The song begins with the singer chanting the names of six major demons. Although the song is undeniably linked with Satanism, it has now found a new purpose on TikTok. The song is now linked to unfortunate pictures of pets.
TikTok users intercut the song’s lyrics with videos and pictures of pets being aggressive. The trend has become huge on TikTok with more than 65k videos attributed to it.
