The left-armed bowler joined the Gujarat Titans franchise for the Indian Premier League back in 2022 and has been playing there ever since.

Yash Dayal brief bio

Yash Dayal, who is one of the most expensive uncapped players in the 2023 IPL, was born on 13 December 1997, in Allahabad city, Uttar Pradesh. He plays domestic cricket for the Uttar Pradesh team. He joined the Gujarat Titan team in IPL Mega Auction 2022 for a whopping price of 3.2 crores.

Yash completed his primary schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya New Cantt Allahabad School, following which he graduated from the Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences.

His father’s name is Chandrapal Dayal, and his mother’s name is Radha Dayal and his father was also a fast bowler during his youth and played in Vizzy Trophy for Allahabad University in the 1980s. He now works in the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) office of India. Yash is a Hindu by religion.

Chandrapal was a zonal cricketer himself who dreams of his son becoming an international cricketer one day. During his playing career, Chanderpal also played in Vijay Hazare Trophy for Uttar Pradesh and came close to getting selected for Team India. However, he never got to achieve his dream and wanted his son to fulfill the dream of an international cricket team selection.
