The league’s chairwoman and owner, Dany Garcia, said in a statement, “These team brands came to life after many hours of brainstorming and working together.” “Each team’s identity is rooted in its local community and reflects the XFL’s vision and values: they are real, dynamic, modern, and unapologetically bold.” The draught for the league will happen next month, and the first game will be on February 18, 2023.
What Exactly Is XFL?
The XFL is a professional football league in the United States. It has eight teams spread out across the country in mid-sized to large markets that already have at least one major professional sports team. Also the season runs from February to April, and each team plays ten games during the regular season. Four teams then move on to the playoffs, where the winner is decided. The main office is in Arlington, Texas.
Vince McMahon, who used to work for WWE, started the league in 2018. It is a new version of the league with the same name that he started in 2001. McMahon re-founded the XFL to make a league with less controversy off the field and faster, easier play than the National Football League (NFL). He also wanted to make a league without the professional wrestling-inspired features and entertainment elements of the league it replaced.
