What Is The Meaning Of The WWE Warrior Award
WWE Warrior Award was launched by WWE in 2015 to honour people who have demonstrated unshakable strength and tenacity, as well as those who live life with the courage and empathy that defines the Ultimate Warrior’s bravery and courage.
Despite the fact that WWE advertises Warrior Award honorees as Hall of Fame entrants, they are not included in the ‘Hall of Fame’ section of WWE.com, and a picture gallery of ‘every WWE Hall of Famer ever’ has no recipients.
Following the death of the Ultimate Warrior, the prize was founded. Shortly before his death in April 2014, he suggested a specific category named the ‘Jimmy Miranda Award’ for WWE’s behind-the-scenes staff during his Hall of Fame address. Miranda, who died in 2002, worked for more than 20 years in the WWE merchandise department.
Since the beginning of 2019, all of the awardees have been WWE workers. The honour is traditionally presented by Dana Warrior, the Ultimate Warrior’s widow.

Related Controversies
Former WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts expressed dissatisfaction with the way WWE exploited parts of Warrior’s Hall of Fame speech to publicise the award while ignoring Warrior’s intentions to recognise WWE’s off-screen staff. On this WWE responded,
It is offensive to suggest that WWE and its executives had anything, but altruistic intentions in honouring Connor and his legacy with The Warrior Award.
They also added,
Moving forward the award will be given annually to acknowledge other unsung heroes among WWE’s employees and fans.
Recipient of WWE Warrior Award 2022
Shad Gaspard will be posthumously recognised as the 2022 Warrior Award recipient during the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony during WrestleMania 38 Weekend, according to WWE. Siliana Gaspard, Gaspard’s wife, will accept the honour alongside their kid, according to reports.
Shad initially signed with WWE in 2002, then formed Cryme Tyme with JTG in 2006, only to be returned the following year. The pair returned to WWE in 2008, but Shad’s contract was terminated in November 2010.
In May of 2020, Gaspard died. While swimming at Venice Beach, California, the 39-year-old and his kid were part of a swimmers group who got caught in a rip current. Shad had informed lifeguards he was going back into the ocean to save his son, but after being swept beneath, he never reappeared. His dead body was found on the beach three days later.
