Roman Reigns vs Rey Mysterio is now officially set to take place at the upcoming pay-per-view Hell in a Cell on 20th June after Reigns made a mockey of Dominik Mysterio
Currently the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has steadily become one of the must-see pro-wrestlers today. With his development as a heel character, he has transformed into the undisputed face of WWE. But this week on Smackdown, The Big Dog had a new challenger in front of him, none other than The Ultimate Underdog, Rey Mysterio.
What Led To Roman Reigns Vs Rey Mysterio Being Set For A Hell In A Cell Match
In response to Reigns’ horrendous attack on his son Dominik last week, Rey Mysterio wasted no time in shooting his shot for vengeance, in this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. He first spoke to Reigns about what family really is and how The Tribal Chief will never understand it. Then, he cut to the chase and issued his challenge to a hell in a cell match at the PPV of the same name.

Before Reigns could provide him with an answer, Mysterio straight up attacked Reigns with a kendo stick. As soon as Reigns had gotten the upper hand in the brawl, Mysterio’s son Dominik made his way to the ring to aid his dad. But the Universal Champ easily powerbombed Dominik outside the ring and stood tall once again.

It may seem like Roman Reigns has his hands full with Dominik and Rey Mysterio, but in another storyline he’s got his cousins The Usos to deal with to. Things have been a bit heated between the three, with Jey Uso walking out on both men on this week’s show.
