Drew McIntyre had the last laugh before Hell in a Cell as he ended the show driving a Claymore into Bobby face in the Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles fight
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was the final-stretch before WWE Hell in a Cell on 20th June. It would be the last PPV to air from the WWE Thunderdome. Among the various action-packed highlights of this week’s Raw were Drew McIntyre’s bout with AJ Styles and his final message to Bobby Lashley. The Scottish superstar goes up against Lashley this weekend, in a hell in a cell match for the Universal title.
WWE Raw Results: Drew McIntyre Vs AJ Styles Ahead of Hell in a Cell
McIntyre was set to face AJ Styles in singles action in the Raw main event, which soon turned into an impromptu six-man tag team match after interference from Omos, The Viking Raiders and Lashley. This chaotic match acted as a teaser for Hell in a Cell and ended with McIntyre sending his final message to Lashley as he pinned him following a Claymore to his face.
In a backstage interview backstage earlier that night, McIntyre had also said that from now on, would now be calling Lashley “Trashley” for his attitude and the company he keeps. McIntyre then brought up William Wallace, asserting how Scots were masters of strategy. He also suggested he had a strategy to deal with Lashley inside Hell in a Cell. Later in the show, Lashley said McIntyre would face the same fate as Wallace, who was ultimately captured and executed.
While this last laugh would definitely work in advantage to Drew McIntyre and his confidence heading into Hell in a Cell, we are yet to see who ends up winning the big one.
