WWE “I Quit” Match Rules, Format And Previous Winners List Till Date

An “I Quit” Bout is a sort of professional wrestling match in which the only way to win is for your opponent to proclaim “I quit”, know the rules in WWE

When a wrestler uses a technique to knock down or submit his opponent, he will usually take the microphone and ask the opponent to shout “I resign,” to which the opponent will usually respond (at least early in the bout).

Because stating “I Quit” is considered an indication of confessed inadequacy, “I Quit” bouts are widely used to settle kayfabe grievances and disgrace opponents.

It is a variation of submission match as it can only be won by submission and usually, whenever a wrestler hits down their opponent with a move or forces a submission move, the opponent will be asked either by the referee or the opponent to say the words into a microphone.
