A lot of information regarding the upcoming WWE 2K22 has been apparently leaked online, including the game’s cover star, release date, roster and pre-order bundle
Rey Mysterio is rumoured to be on the cover this year, according to the TechnikNews Twitter feed. The site also mentions that pre-orders will be available “soon,” but doesn’t provide a specific date – though we already know it’ll be in March.

But that isn’t all that has been revealed. According to TechnikNews, the WWE 2K22 Deluxe Edition will feature both the Undertaker Immortal Pack and the Season Pass, and a three-day Early Access period will begin on March 8th. The game will be released on March 11, 2022.
The former is said to include three new Undertaker identities, including Phantom Mask Undertaker, Lord of Darkness Undertaker, and Boneyard Match Undertaker, as well as MyFaction EVO cards for Undertaker and undisclosed MyFaction Perks and Bonuses. It’s also available as a sweetener for pre-order.

There’s also talk of a WWE 2K22nWo 4-Life version, which will purportedly feature the Undertaker Immortal Pack, in addition to the normal and deluxe editions.
In 2021, the annual series will take a year off after Visual Concepts’ WWE 2K20 was severely criticised, causing Sony to provide refunds to disgruntled customers as countless gamers shared clips of glitches and other flaws while Visual Concepts rushed to patch up the game.
The bad feedback to the broken WWE 2K20 led to the cancellation of a planned WWE 2K21 sequel. Instead, the cartoonish WWE 2K Battlegrounds was released, while the main series was given more time to recuperate before returning. In March, we’ll find out if the wait was worthwhile.
WWE 2K22 Release Date
While there’s no official word on when WWE 2K22 will be released, we can figure it out with some simple math. The three-day Early Access period will begin on March 8, 2022, according to leaker @NilsAhrDE. The official release date is set for March 11, 2022 (or around that date). It also corresponds to 2K’s 2021 announcement that the game would be postponed until March 2022.
WWE 2K22 Pre-Order Bonus
The Undertaker Immortal Pack will be given to players that pre-order the game.
This bundle includes “three extra Undertaker personas: Phantom Mask Undertaker, Lord of Darkness Undertaker, Boneyard Match Undertaker, MyFACTION EVO cards for Undertaker, and MyFACTION Perks and Bonuses,” according to the description.
