Tickets start at Rs.599 and can be bought here with the matches starting at 6pm on 25 January, 2024.
Scheduled to take place at the Peddem Indoor Stadium in Mapusa, Goa, from January 23 to 28, the second edition of India’s premier international table tennis tournament boasts a formidable lineup.
The lineup features global stars such as World No. 5 Hugo Calderano, last edition’s runner-up Cheng I-Ching (WR 18), and former World No. 1 and two-time Olympics bronze medalist Dimitrij Ovtcharov (WR 12).
These luminaries, along with 14 other Top-20 paddlers, promise a fiercely competitive field.
Event’s Co-Host
Co-hosted by Stupa Sports Analytics and Ultimate Table Tennis under the guidance of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), the tournament presents a significant opportunity for Indian fans to support their athletes and serve as crucial motivation in their preparations for the upcoming Olympics.
Deepak Malik, Tournament Director and Co-Founder & COO of Stupa Sports Analytics, expressed excitement about the ticket sales launch, highlighting the international significance of the event.
He emphasized the thrilling competition with top athletes worldwide and extended a warm welcome to fans from across the country and the world.
Leading the home challenge are ace paddlers Manika Batra, Achanta Sharath Kamal, and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, with a record 41 Indians participating in the event.
Tickets Price
Tickets are available in five categories, ranging from Stand Topspin & Block to VIP and Premium Lounge, with prices starting at ₹349 for qualifying rounds and reaching up to ₹4,999 for main draw matches.
VIP and Premium Lounge tickets offer an enhanced stadium experience, including complimentary snacks. Fans also have the option to purchase a full event pass starting from ₹4,399, allowing them to enjoy the action throughout the six-day tournament.
Prize Pool
Qualifying rounds are set for January 23 and 24, while the semi-finals and finals will take place on January 27 and 28. The official website of world table tennis reveals that the WTT Series is returning to the beach in 2024 with WTT Star Contender Goa, offering a total prize pool of USD 250,000 and 600 World Ranking points for the winners.
Cheng I-Ching, aiming for redemption after an impressive 2024 run, is set to defend her title in India. The competition is fierce, with Shin Yubin leading the entry list and seeking a stronger performance than her 2023 appearance in Goa.
The 19-year-old will be vying for success in the WTT Series event tier, eager to surpass her previous achievements.
