At the WTT Star Contender Goa 2023 tournament, Chinese players won both the men’s and women’s singles finals, know the fill winners list
Wang Yidi won the women’s singles final and Liang Jingkun won the men’s singles final on Sunday at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Panjim.

Wang Yidi, who is ranked fourth in the world, beat Cheng-I-Ching, who is ranked 31st in the world, in the women’s singles final by a score of 4-0 (11-6,11-6,11-8,11-4). This was Wang Yidi’s second WTT Star Contender title in a row. In July 2022, she won in Budapest.

In the men’s singles final, Liang Jingkun, who is ranked seventh in the world, beat 17-year-old Lin Shidong with a score of 4-2 (11-6,9-11,10-12,12-10,12-10,11-9).
Japan shows good game in WTT Star Contender
Japan also did well in the doubles events. Miyu Nagasaki and 14-year-old Miwa Harimoto won the women’s doubles title after beating Cheng and Li Yu-Jhun of Chinese Taipei 3-0 (11-9, 11-7, 11-6) in the finals. Harimoto said after the match, “This is my first time winning a WTT women’s doubles title, I am really very happy,”

At the tournament, South Korea also won two titles. An Jaehyun and Cho Seungmin won the men’s doubles title, and Jang Woojin and Jeon Jihee won the mixed doubles title.
The first WTT event to be held in India was the Star Contender Goa 2023. Top table tennis players from all over the world, like those from Japan, South Korea, and China, came to compete.
