2023 WTT Star Contender Goa Main Draw, Format, Events, List of Players, & Prize Money Pool Distribution
As per the WTT hierarchy, WTT Series is made up of a number of official, professional table tennis competitions that are spread out over the course of a year. Currently, the top-tier WTT Series competitions consist of four Grand Smashes, which are comparable to tennis Grand Slams.
Meanwhile, Cup Finals, Champion Series, & Contender Series are the remaining three competition categories of the hierarchy. Further, the Contender Series is divided into two sub-categories, which are made of six WTT Star Contender competitions & 14 lower-level WTT Contender competitions.
In the upcoming 2023 WTT Star Contender Goa, total of 48 players will participate in the main draw of both men’s singles and women’s singles event. Meanwhile, 16 pairs will participate in main draw of this tournament’s men’s doubles and women’s doubles category. Elsewhere, eight pairs will compete in the mixed doubles category. For both singles and doubles category competition, numerous players will receive wildcard entry.
