The WTT Singapore Smash 2023’s main event, which features the top 50 players from the men’s and women’s singles tournaments, begins on March 11.
The main event features eight players from the qualifiers, two WTT Nominees, four wild cards, and the top 50 players.

Given the significance of the event, the main table tennis competition, which will feature several of the country’s top players, promises to be a difficult test of the Indians’ skills.
The current men’s and women’s singles champions are Chen Meng and Fan Zhendong of China. Fan Zhendong was unexpectedly defeated by WR 193 Cho Dae-seong at the just concluded WTT Star Contender, India.

In the second qualifying round, Manav Thakkar put on a solid effort against WR 69, grabbing the lead (2-0), but he was unable to take advantage of pivotal opportunities in the waning seconds, losing the match (2-3) instead.
Manika Batra received a bye in both doubles sections. The top Indian women’s singles players had a good run at the WTT Star Contender, India, and they want to keep it going.
