On Saturday, Indian paddler Sathiyan Gnanasekaran was knocked out of the WTT Contender 2022 men’s singles event in Zagreb, Croatia, after losing a straight game to Chinese Taipei’s Chuang Chih-Yuan in the quarterfinals. Sathiyan, rated 34 in the world, was defeated by World No. 18 Chih-Yuan 7-11, 9-11, 5-11.
In the mixed doubles final at 2022 WTT Contender Zagreb, the Japanese duo of Tomozaku Harimoto and Hina Hayata emerged victorious after defeating the Chinese duo of Chun Ting and Hoi Kem in straight sets with a score of 11-7, 11-5, 11-5.
