2022 Ladies Open Lausanne Final Results, Score, And Champions
The mid-season comeback of Petra Martic now includes a trophy; on Sunday at the Ladies Open Lausanne, the former World No. 14 defeated Serbian qualifier Olga Danilovic 6-4, 6-2 to claim her second career Hologic WTA Tour singles victory. The 31-year-old Martic had only won consecutive matches twice up until Wimbledon, but she has now doubled that total in her last two tournaments. She advanced to the fourth round at the All-England Club before falling to eventual champion Elena Rybakina in a close two-setter, and she collected five victories in the Swiss Alps to win her second career title.
Ulrikke Eikeri and Tamara Zidanek withdrew from the doubles tennis final, giving Olga Danilovi and Kristina Mladenovic the victory at the 2022 Ladies Open Lausanne. The reigning champions, Susan Bandecchi and Simona Waltert, lost to Alicia Barnett and Olivia Nicholls in the opening round.
