1- Iga Swiatek 

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek has become a heavy favourite following her stunning performance this season. She has made everyone her fan with her unstoppable style. The Polish professional is on her 28 match winning streak and is yet to lose a match on clay this 2022 tennis season.

Swiatek has already won five back to back WTA 1000 titles and beat quality players. She recently defeated Madrid Open champion Ons Jabeur to clinch her fifth WTA 1000 title in Italy. The former French Open champion is expected to continue her outlasting form in Paris to win her second Grand Slam.

2- Barbora Krejcikova 

Barbora Krejcikova is finally back after a long break. The player last played in Qatar and reached the quarterfinals at the Australian Open this year in singles and won the Grand Slam title with partner Katerina Siniakova in doubles. She is the current champion of the French Open tournament in singles as well as doubles both. The Czech started her 2022 tennis season with a title at Sydney International defeating No. 3 Paula Badosa. The 26-year-old will continue to have her magical form at the Grand Slam and defend her Roland Garros title.

3- Maria Sakkari

Maria Sakkari made it to the final of the Indian Wells Masters, but Iga Swiatek, the eventual victor, beat her. She had a strong run at the Qatar Open, beating opponents like Gauff and Pegula, but her run was cut short in the semifinals by Swiatek again. Anett Kontaveit defeated the Greek in the final in St. Petersburg. Sakkari enters Italy as a favourite after a strong year that saw her progress to the finals of multiple events. She recently reaches the quarterfinals of the Italian Open where she came past players like Coco Gauff and Ekaterina Alexandrova. The player from Greece is expected to continue with better advancements in France.

4- Ons Jabeur 

Ons Jabeur seems to be on top since she won the title in Madrid Open. The African No. 1 is well motivated and is on her 11-match winning streak that was beaten by the eventual winner of the Italian Open Swiatek at the final of the Italian Open. Jabeur’s last events on clay went very successful clinching a title and reaching a final. She is one of the new favourites in Paris, France.

5- Paula Badosa

Following her run in the 2022 tennis season, Paula Badosa of Spain was rated No. 2. She lost to Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals of the Stuttgart Open.
