The round-robin competition will feature the eight singles players and doubles teams that finished first in the season-long Race to the WTA Finals leaderboard, which awards ranking points only earned in the current season.
Meanwhile, Karolina Muchova has withdrawn from the GNP Seguros WTA Finals Cancun because to an ongoing injury to her right wrist. Maria Sakkari, the first alternate, will take Muchova’s place in the singles draw.
World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is at the top of the rankings, followed by four-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek, current US Open champion Coco Gauff, and 2022 Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina. Jessica Pegula, Ons Jabeur and Marketa Vondrousova are the names already on the list since the beginning.

Where is the WTA Finals?
In 2023, the WTA Finals will make a return trip to Mexico and take place in Cancun for the first time. The Wilson US Open Regular Duty ball will be used in the outdoor hard-court competition system.
When is the WTA Finals?
Sunday, October 29 to Sunday, November 5 is when the group stage starts. Daily singles bouts will start at 5 p.m. local time and continue until the championship match. On Saturday, November 4, the semifinals will take place. On Sunday, November 5, the finals will take place. 4:30 p.m. is when the doubles final gets underway, and 7 p.m. is when the singles final takes place.
