Following round-three matches of the WR Chess Masters 2023, American GM Levon Aronian is the sole leader with two wins and one draw. On Saturday, Aronian managed to emerge victorious against Nodirbek Abdusattorov to stay as the leader, while Wesley So and Gukesh are sitting second after they settled for draw in their respective matches. Meanwhile, Indian prodigy Praggnanandhaa scored the first victory of this tournament by defeating German star Vincent Keymer.

Among other matches of Saturday, Anish Giri failed to capitalize on his opportunity of winning with black pieces before he settled for a draw versus Ian Nepomniachtchi. Elsewhere, Esipenko managed to draw against Duda after a long match and Wesley So could bag only a draw versus Indian star Gukesh. From February 14 to February 27, this competition will take conducted at the Hyatt Regency.

Indian phenom will compete against German prodigy Vincent Keymer on Sunday, according to the official schedule. Meanwhile, Levon Aronian will face-off against Duda in round-four hoping to extend his lead over the remaining players.

Prize money for the 2023 WR Chess Masters will amount to 130,000 euros, with 40,000 euros going to the champion. Depending on their respective finishes, the participants will divide the remaining 90,000 euros. Levon Aronian has two points after three games and now holds the lead in the competition for this illustrious title.
