Molineux’s crucial three-wicket over reversed the tide of the game after DC’s openers made a solid start with a 64-run partnership. Patil secured four wickets for 12 runs, while Sobhana captured two wickets for 14 runs as RCB restricted DC to 113 all out in 18.3 overs. During the chase, Smriti Mandhana, Sophie Devine, Ellyse Perry, and Richa Ghosh played pivotal roles in guiding RCB to their target.
Devine’s aggressive batting, highlighted by 18 runs off a single over, injected momentum before she fell victim to Shikha Pandey. Perry and Mandhana then anchored the innings with well-timed boundaries. However, Mandhana’s dismissal introduced a twist to the proceedings. Subsequently, Perry and Ghosh formed a potent partnership, blending caution with aggression to steer RCB towards victory. Ghosh’s boundary in the last over sealed the win with three balls left.
