What is Orange Cup at 2023 WPL & why players are eager to win it?
For their team, most players start the competition with large scores, but few are likely to maintain that level of consistency. The Orange Cap, meanwhile, goes to the player who manages to accumulate runs over the course of the entire season as opposed to just a few contests. In the Women’s Premier League, the Orange Cap is awarded to the player who outsmarts the other competitors and finishes first in run scoring. The Orange Cap winner will be announced following the last match on March 26, when the WPL 2023 comes to an end.
At least for the following season, the spotlight belongs to the person who wins the Orange Cap at the end of the competition. The players were permitted to don the Orange Cap rather than the team cap when fielding on the ground, as was seen in the men’s IPL.
