Later, Me-ri tells Woo-joo that Wu-ju contacted her the moment he returned to Korea. Woo-joo advises her to be honest and even suggests they team up to protect her claim to the house. That night, Wu-ju visits Me-ri at work, hoping to rekindle their past. She gently rejects him, saying she no longer loves him. When Me-ri shares this with Woo-joo, he grows unexpectedly jealous.
Just as their team begins selling their products, disaster strikes. The gift boxes include greeting cards with poems from a monk who has just been arrested. Panic erupts. The team races to stop the delivery trucks and remove the cards. Thanks to their teamwork, the crisis was resolved in time. But trouble brews when Woo-jo learns that Me-ri’s hospital patient is none other than her ex. When Me-ri asks what’s wrong, Woo-joo finally confesses: he likes her.
