5. Wasim Jaffer
The opening Indian batsman was known for his ability of batting deep in Test cricket, wherein he has registered himself among the best. But the same cannot be stated for his IPL stint. Wasim Jaffer was acquired by RCB in the 2008 season, wherein he got 8 innings to bat, Jaffer managed to score only 130 runs with an average of 16 runs per innings.
4. Aditya Tare
Having played in 6 IPL seasons, this Indian Player has been a part of the Mumbai Indians’ dugout for long. Tare has played 35 matches in his IPL stint and has managed to score only 339 runs at an average of 14 runs per innings.
During his IPL peek, Tare has played 15 games in the 2014 season, wherein he managed to score 126 runs at an average of 15 runs. In 35 innings, Tare’s best has been 59.
3. Sarfaraz Khan
This young Indian player is a lower order batsman who is a part of the Punjab Kings’ team in the 2021 edition. During his IPL stint, Khan has been associated with RCB for the majority of his years, and has managed to score only 441 runs in 38 innings, facing a total of 315 balls.
Although during the initial years, it seemed like Sarfaraz Khan could have the potential to represent the nation in the coming years, but his epic decline has led him to only sit in the bench season after seaosn.
2. Abhishek Nayar
Many IPL fans would be shocked to see Nayar making it into this list, yet you will be amazed to know that Nayar has batted in 60 matches and has managed to score only 672 runs, making his career average of 17.68 runs per innings.
Known to bat in the middle order during his best IPL days, Nayar has never scored a single half century in 60 innings. Abhishek Nayar’s best has been 45 runs which came in the inaugural edition, 2008.
1. Pawan Negi
This Indian all-rounder was once the highest selling player in the auction and yet has ended as the worst Indian player of all time to play in the IPL. Talking about his bowling performance first, Negi is a left arm slow bowler who has bowled a total of 716 balls, taking 34 wickets and registering an economy of almost 8.
Speaking about his effort with the bat, Negi was scored 365 runs in 50 games at an average of only 14.03. Moreover he has never scored a half century as well.
