Viewers are now fed up with the brutal fights in basketball as they have created a lot of chaos. No one will want the fun of a sport to be spoilt with such things.

1. Larry Bird and Julius Erving

The rivalry between Larry Bird and Julius Erving began in the year 1984. The reason behind this brutal fight in basketball was an offensive foul by Larry. Larry denied and didn’t accept the foul which resulted in a heated argument between both Larry and Julius. Also, Larry started yelling at the referee. A total of 18 players were fined for this brutal fight in the NBA.

2. New York Knicks and Phoenix

The fight was between the point guard of the Knicks and the Point guard of Phoenix. This rivalry was recorded in the year 1993 because of few technical fouls by the Knicks. It started with an argument and later on took a violent twist. On this fight, the President of Phoenix stated he has never seen such a fight in his career ever.

3. New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets

On the 16th of December 2006, the Knicks again got involved in a brawl. This time Knicks and Nuggets presented  the most infamous but the most brutal fight in NBA. Again the reason behind this ugly fight was a foul only.

4. Charles Oakley and Rick Mahron

This fight can be regarded as the ugliest one ever. After this fight people started comparing basketball with boxing. Charles is Mahron’s senior in the sport regardless of this fact he physically attacked Charles. It was clear after this fight that Mahron has no regard for his elders; also the exact reason behind this fight is still unknown.

5. Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson

Alonzo and Larry were members of knick and Heat when the fight took place. Both teams didn’t have anything heated but these players didn’t have good terms with each other. In 1995 the hatred between these two was exposed to the entire world with an ugly fight.
