The 2022 Betfred World Snooker Championship is a professional snooker tournament that will take place from April 16 to May 2, 2022, at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England. The World Snooker Championship will be staged at the venue for the 46th time. The tournament, which is the 16th and final ranking event of the 2021–22 snooker season, is hosted by the World Snooker Tour.

The tournament matches will take place in the following manner:

- April 26- April 27: Quarter-final Matches
- April 28- April 30: Semi-final Matches

Tournament Format And Rules
The first round of the main draw will have the best of 19 frames, the second round and quarter-finals will feature the best of 25 frames, and the semi-finals will feature the best of 33 frames. The final will be a two-day competition with a best-of-35-frames format.

The second round of the tournament will be held over three sessions from April 21 to 25, with the best of 25 frames. After the first session, Trump and McGill were knotted at 4–4 after each player made a century break. Trump, on the other hand, won three of the next four frames and led 10-6 at the end of the second session. With breaks of 75, 54, and 57, 2015 winner Stuart Bingham opened a 5-3 lead over fifth seed Kyren Wilson, the 2020 finalist.
Robertson took the first two frames against Lisowski, but Lisowski came back with four straight frames to take a 4–2 lead. Robertson was denied permission to leave the stadium to work on his cue tip, but he tied the game at 4–4 with back-to-back centuries of 117 and 131. In the second session, Lisowski took three of the first four frames with breaks of 121 and 119, then added breaks of 137 and 74 to lead 9-6. Robertson, on the other hand, won the last frame of the session with a 69 break to cut the deficit to two.

The winner of the Snooker World Championship in 2022 will get £500,000, while the losing finalist will receive £200,000. The entire prize fund for the tournament will be 2,395,000 pounds.
The Crucible’s maximum break is worth £40,000, whereas the qualification rounds’ maximum break is worth $10,000. These bonuses are in addition to the £15,000 grand prize for the most outstanding vacation.
