The 2022 Betfred World Snooker Championship is a professional snooker competition that will take place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England, from April 16 to May 2, 2022. For the 46th time, the World Snooker Championship will be held at the venue. The World Snooker Tour hosts the tournament, which is the 16th and final ranking event of the 2021–22 snooker season.

The competition is being held at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre, with the final scheduled for Monday, May 2nd. For the 46th year in a row, the World Snooker Championship is being held at the same location. Tickets for the fixtures can be bought here.
The tournament matches will take place in the following manner:
- April 26- April 27: Quarter-final Matches
- April 28- April 30: Semi-final Matches
- May 1- May 2: Final
Tournament Format And Rules
The first round of the main draw will have the best of 19 frames, the second round and quarter-finals will feature the best of 25 frames, and the semi-finals will feature the best of 33 frames. The final will be a two-day competition with a best-of-35-frames format.

The second round of the tournament took place over three sessions from April 21 to 25, with the best of 25 frames.
McGill had a 106 break to start the third session, but Trump answered with a 105 to take the lead 11–7. McGill subsequently won three straight frames with breaks of 78, 77, and 124, cutting Trump’s advantage to 11–10. The next game was won by Trump, who moved one frame closer to victory, but McGill narrowed the gap to 12–11 with a 51 break. Trump, on the other hand, kept his cool to win the match 13–11 and go to the quarter-finals for the eighth time.
Robertson won four successive frames with breaks of 79 and 60 to take an 11–10 lead. With an 88 break in frame 22, Lisowski levelled the game, but Robertson pulled ahead 12–11 and appeared to be on his way to triumph when he produced a 55 break in frame 24. Lisowski, on the other hand, made a frame-winning clearance of 72 to force a decider. Both players had chances to win, but Lisowski won 13–12 to go to the quarterfinals for the first time in his career.
On the 26th and 27th of April, 2022 Snooker World Championship quarter-finals will be contested as a best of 25 frames over three sessions. Maguire is the only qualifier who has advanced to this level, while Yan and Lisowski are both competing in their first quarter-finals.
