The 2025 World Indoor Bowls Championships have officially begun, bringing together the best bowlers from around the globe for another thrilling year of competition at Potters Resorts. Scotland’s Stewart Anderson reigned supreme in 2024, clinching his third open singles title and securing the open pairs championship alongside Darren Burnett. Meanwhile, Katherine Rednall continued her domination in the women’s singles, claiming her sixth trophy in 10 years at Potters Resorts.
As per schedule, the 2025 World Indoor Bowls Championships run from January 10 to 25, featuring intense competition across various rounds. The preliminaries and Round 1 (Pairs) from January 10-12 showcase matchups like Mervyn King & David Gourlay MBE against Trevor Taylor & Connor Milne. The action intensifies in the Quarter-Finals and Singles Prelims (January 13-15), with players like Jason Banks & Michael Stepney facing off against Les Gillett & Wayne Willgress.
From January 16-18, the Semi-Finals and Mixed Pairs highlight fierce battles, including a showdown between Katherine Rednall & Paul Foster and Beth Riva & Jason Banks. The Ladies Singles reach their climax from January 19-23, with Julie Forrest and Beth Riva advancing to the final. Notably, the tournament is streamed live via World Bowls Tour’s YouTube and Facebook channels during the first week, with BBC Two and BBC iPlayer broadcasting the final week.
