Athletes to keep an eye on at the Birmingham World Indoor Tour Final
The women’s 60-meter race, where world champion in the 200-meter event Shericka Jackson of Jamaica will compete against home favourites Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita over the shorter sprint distance, is one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the final.
At the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon, Jackson finished in 21.45 seconds to become the second-fastest female 200m runner of all time and the fastest woman over the distance alive.
She also placed third in the 100-meter event at Tokyo 2020 and took home bronze.
Grant Holloway, the current world record holder in the men’s 60m hurdles, will once again shoot for the stars as he pursues his personal goal of becoming the “greatest” hurdler in history.
